The house by the hills a print styled illustration

The house by the hills is a digital vector based illustration which started its life as a hand drawn marker pen on canvas drawing. The image was then converted via digital means to a vector based format and from their on the image transformed to find its shape through a traditional style concept based on lino pprint, woodcut printing and engraving. The final result is a conceptual, moody expressionists illustration with all the characteristics of a traditional print quality in the use of colour, the use of allowing overlaps and a freedom to be inaccurate in the management of the vectors and their paths.
