On the 20th October 2014 at approximately 1800hrs fire crews tackled a fire at the former Lady Williams Cancer Centre.
The first images that normally go out are those intended for the media, untouched, unaltered, and quickly out of the camera onto the wires.
Then comes the after-process. Processing, editing and narrative and in this case this image lends itself to all of that.

Gibraltar - 20th October 2014 - At approximately 1800hrs fire crew were called in to tackle a fire at the former Lady Williams Cancer Centre.
Two fire tenders attended the scene, along with police, closing down Devils Tower Road in both directions.
For close to an hour fire fighters tackled a blaze within the abandoned premises.
No injuries were recorded.
The fire was just two blocks from a similar fire at the Gibraltar hostel just two blocks further up the road that closed the hostel during most of the summer, also closing down Devils Tower Road, a main road linking the city centre to the east side.
